Sweet Onion Soup - With Barbismoked™ Maple Syrup and Black Pepper Smoked Onions

Ingredients

1 sprig fresh thyme
1 ½ cups dark beer
6 cups Liquid beef stock
2 tablespoons olive oil
6 cups thinly sliced Barbismoked™ Maple Syrup and Black Pepper Smoked Onions


Steps:

In a 3.5 to 4L slow cooker, combine Barbismoked™ Maple Syrup and Black Pepper Smoked Onions and olive oil. Cover and cook for 6 hours on High. Stirring once until onion is caramilised.
Add liquid beef stock, dark beer and sprig of fresh thyme. Cover and cook for 45 minutes on high until heated through. Remove and discard thyme sprig.
Pour into cups and serve.
